Dee Dee DeBartlo

Dee Dee De Bartlo was Senior Director of Publicity at William Morrow/An Imprint of HarperCollins, where she worked for twelve years. Prior to that she worked at John Wiley & Sons.

Debartlo has created campaigns for many major bestsellers including Freakonomics and Superfreakonomics, Mavericks at Work, and Founding Mothers. She has worked with many notable authors and personalities such as acclaimed crime writer Elmore Leonard, University of Chicago economist Steve Levitt, journalist and bestselling author Stephen Dubner, ABC News and NPR political analyst Cokie Roberts, bestselling author of Wicked Gregory McGuire, satirist and bestselling author Christopher Moore, former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer, former Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, and bestselling mystery writer Diane Mott Davidson.

After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a BA in Literature, Dee Dee taught English in Japan, studied art and language in Mexico, and worked in many a great restaurant to fund travel and adventure. She lives in New York City.


Gretchen Crary

Gretchen Crary was Publicity Director at HarperCollins for 6 years where she worked for both the Harper imprint and the Collins imprint.

Before coming to publishing, Gretchen Crary was a television producer for the documentary program Frontline, for 60 Minutes, and for ABC News. She has an Emmy and a DuPont Gold Baton for her work with Frontline.

As Publicity Director at HarperCollins, she was involved in building many bestsellers including Cyber War by Richard Clarke, The Sellout by Charles Gasparino, Conquest of the Useless by Werner Herzog, and Alex and Me by Dr. Irene Pepperberg.

She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University and also holds a Masters degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She lives in Brooklyn.



Kimberly Cowser

Kimberly Cowser was a Senior Publicist at Simon & Schuster. Prior to that she was a Publicist at HarperCollins, where she worked for 3 years in the Harper Perennial, ItBooks, and Collins imprints.

She created campaigns for bestsellers including The Aloha Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini, The Myth of the Rational Market by Justin Fox, and The Gardner Heist by Ulrich Boser. She has worked with a number of fiction and nonfiction authors including award winning UK crime writer Belinda Bauer, international mystery writer Tarquin Hall, and acclaimed author Colleen McCullough.

She graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing. She lives in Brooklyn.
